Key Responsibilities
Regional Compliance Strategy
- Design and implement pan-American compliance programs aligned with global standards
- Spearhead U.S. expansion initiatives, particularly for derivatives and digital asset products
- Adapt frameworks for Canada, Bahamas, and Caribbean jurisdictions
Regulatory Engagement
- Primary liaison for U.S. regulators (CFTC, SEC, state agencies), FINTRAC, and Bahamian authorities
- Manage licensing portfolios including Money Transmitter Licenses and BitLicense
- Oversee regulatory examinations and reporting
Business Partnership
- Guide compliant product launches and market entries
- Conduct risk assessments for new financial offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed compliance in operations
Team Leadership
- Mentor high-performing compliance professionals
- Foster a culture of integrity and continuous learning
- Report to executive leadership on compliance KPIs
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- 12-15 years in financial services compliance leadership
- Deep expertise in U.S. regulations (BSA, OFAC, CFTC rules)
- Canadian (PCMLTFA) and Bahamian (DARE Act) regulatory knowledge
- Derivatives market experience preferred
