Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. However, there may be times when you need to reset it—whether you've lost access to your authentication method or simply want to update your settings. Below, we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step for both scenarios: when you can log in and when you can't log in.


Scenario 1: You Can Log In to Your Account

Resetting 2FA via the OKX App

  1. Open the OKX app and navigate to User Center.
  2. Go to Profile and Settings > Security > Authentication Methods.
  3. Choose Authenticator App / Phone / Email and select Change.
  4. Click Reset Authentication Method.
  5. Select your preferred method (Email, Phone, or Authenticator App) and confirm.
  6. Enter the required verification details and submit.
  7. You'll receive a confirmation once the reset is complete.

  1. Log in and go to Profile > Security Center.
  2. Select Change Phone Number / Email / Authenticator App.
  3. Click Authentication Method Unavailable? to initiate the reset.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
