Activating OKX Futures and Generating API Keys
Why Enable Futures?
If you plan to trade futures, follow these steps. Otherwise, skip to the API key section.
1. Enable Futures Trading
- Navigate to OKX’s Contracts & Leverage Trading page.
- Click Upgrade for Trading and confirm your experience level.
- Select your Futures trading tier under Settings (⚙️).
2. Create API Keys
- Hover over your profile icon → Select API.
- Click + Create v5 API.
- Name your key (e.g., "3Commas_Spot_Futures").
Set permissions:
- Check Trade (required for 3Commas).
- Select 3Commas from the app list.
- Generate a password for the API key and save it securely.
- Enter 2FA codes and click Confirm.
Success! Your API keys are ready to link OKX Spot and Futures to 3Commas.
